Can kitchen gardens combat climate change? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-50436291
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.

Robert Frost.

Covid 19: After that level of weirdness ,any situation is certainly possible.

When I first read that article I thought how would us "softies" in the developed West survive if already experienced small farmers cannot. Answer; we wouldn't. Not unless we all start learning small scale farming skills now and I dont see too much evidence of that happening at any real scale and without scale I cant see it helping combat climate change.

The last line in the article reads 'it can't happen here'. Well, it can." How very true. :(

This year, Germany saw the first cases of West Nile virus, which is carried by mosquitoes.

That is what caught my eye ftom the article
Not worried about powering the whole house, just eating hot food, getting a brew, seeing through the dark, and staying warm.
