Friday night / Saturday morning there is a frost warning.I am on dopey - daft hours at the moment,so my greenhouse and polytunnel contents have been fleeced over, and the heating ready to light. Just a heads- up for fellow gardeners.

Saw it yesterday on Sunday I removed the ruddy bubble wrap which has lined the greenhouse since the autumn...... Took ages too...

It's roughly tacked up again with the staple gun....

Extra 4l of paraffin is now stashed ready

Everything thats out that I can is fleeced bar my shallots (tomorrow night's job...
Potatoes have started showing will scatter some soil over the shoots tomorrow after work

Thanks for this Jansman, I'm going to have to rig something up tomorrow to try to save my plants. I was thinking a frame made out of bamboo canes with some tarp draped over it and pegged to keep it in place, does that sound adequate? Or would fleece blankets be better than tarp? I've got a couple that I keep in the car so could use them if they'd be better?

Anything will work. Just don’t crush the young plants. Can’t win can we?

Andy, the shallots will be fine.

Might just add some fleece over the straw, just to be sure. Thanks for the heads up.
