A useful Mix for storage.

Post by Brambles »

I've been using this soup or sauce (SOS) mix for a few years and it never fails. It's another USU PDF
from the speil-
Can be used in a variety of recipes such as soups, gravies, creamed
vegetables, skillet meals, and casseroles.
Can be substituted for a can of cream soup in any recipe.
Is fat free.
Saves money.
Is great for people with Coeliac Disease because it contains
no wheat.

Cool! Simple, easy and road tested by our own Brambles! Many thanks, going to try this out!

One question: what do you use as the instant chicken bullion? I only have cubes....!

Morrisons do do a chicken one, this one is easier to get hold of and it's just as good.

ETA I used to buy onion salt or powder, now I just blitz enough home dehydrated onions to make what I need.

Cheers missus, I've downloaded a copy to peruse later, watching football and taking in fluids at the moment. ;)

We keep some of the bouillon in but its not something I tend to stockpile, something to add to the list I guess.

Many thanks, downloaded for my Kindle.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Ah cool. I have the Marigold - I find it a bit claggy in the tub, though tasty when used. Might splash out on some chicken bouillon powder for experimental purposes :D
