Preserving chives

Post by jansman »

We have a cracking crop of chives. There are many ways to preserve them, but do any of our members recommend a particular method? It would be nice to do more with them.

Dehydrate them, only takes a couple of hours and home dried hold their flavour better, or chop them to your liking and either open freeze or fill ice cube trays and cover with a little water and freeze. :)

Dry them but in a lower heat dehydrator, it will dry faster if you chop them up but it will also make them spoil sooner
