Is it to late to sow a last crop of Potatoes?

Post by SPJ »

Hi Guys
I have just harvested my first crop of potatoes from tubs. Which I'm very pleased with, as its my first attempt. Here's the question- Is it to late in the year to plant another crop?

Many Thanks in advance.

No its not! I am going to sow some chitted spuds later into pots. That way they can go under cover in Autumn, and hopefully we will have need spuds at Christmas.

As Jansman says! You plant some lates (e.g. Desiree) now in August for the Christmas table. Providing they survive summer blight you're good to go :D

Thank you both. I'll pop down my local garden centre and pick up some Seed Potatoes. Cheers
