Never rains but it feck it

Post by poppypiesdad »

Well here we go
Wife ran tractor out of fuel yesterday drawing all the sludge into the filters blocking them
Then ran the battery flat
As I was changing the filters noticed a drip from the steering ram
And that's leaking like a sieve

Jeeps broke down with horse trailer on it had to be towed home , thank goodness for the rac
And the air con compressor has thrown it's bearings locking the engine .

Well the sunshine still shining and I'm up to my ears in grease oil petrol snot blood and pee .

Not the best night

:(

Sounds like my average day at work ;)

Friday afternoon had 3 out of 3 lift trucks dead one electrical fault in the gear shifter. One out of auto trans fluid due to a leaking filter and another out of diesel....

fingers crossed the ram shaft is fine and not scored

take it the ac compressor is direct drive? usually when they go they shred the aux belt and throw the battery charge light on in the process hope its not damaged the timimg system if it locked up solid whilst the car was runnning

Ram in , just new wiper seals needed should be back Friday
Can't get a rebuild kit for compressor so ....found a nice company that rebuilds them , £250 with shipping and a three day turn around . Can't moan as a new one is £800

For the short term you can get a smaller aux belt and bypass the compressor. I done it in an astra simply getting belt for same model but non ac. It works and got me out of the proverbial for a bit. Only downside you lose ac

Nope can't due to layout of tensioner . Believe me I've tried. You would think you could but ...... never mind 3 day turn around and we're not stuck for transport .
