Well my hound has got fleas now grrrrr. We, like the rest of you, put the drops on him every month but he seems to have them in spite of that. Not seen them on him yet, but 3 out the 4 of us have tell tale flea bites on our ankles, and I have seen him scratching a good un. Sigh ...

jansman wrote: Mon Aug 06, 2018 4:23 pm Well, our dog has fleas. He is Frontlined religously every month, all year round. But he has fleas - big time.As we know, fleas can carry disease because of their bloodsucking habits.Went down to Pets At Home ( the vet will sell the same stuff at a hellish price),and there was a queue of folks waiting for the same stuff! It seems that the weather has caused an explosion of fleas.Anyhow, got a spray, done the carpets and furniture in the house, and also the Summer house.

Found out half an hour after buying the spray that I could get it for half the price at Wilkos! When I got home I realised I had a ' crawling insect' spray that contains the same chemical,Doh!

Anyhow, just a heads up to you dog and cat people out there.
Front line round here is ineffective can't remember what they petscribed flea yard last year but left the vets £38 skinter...

The flea spray wasn't off the shelf either it was called RIP it killed adults but contained a chemical to stop new hatchlings from maturing thus not biting
If your roughing it, Your doing it wrong ;)

Lack of planning on your part doesn't make it an emergency on mine

When my moggies had fleas a few years ago we used indorex to treat the house. The stuff was amazing. We got it from a well known online retailer but I noticed today that the vets stocked the stuff. I tried some off the shelf ones and they just did not work. The only downside was that we all had to vacate the house for half a day.
