Jamesey: Thats pretty much what I was told.

Yorkshire: Good looking book, adding it to my Reference Wishlist.

Darling: Handy summing-up

For my part, working as a blacksmith and a welder I've encountered a wide range of burns. So far none of mine have been all that bad*..... But theres always a first time.

*Being hit in the back of the neck by a piece of burning coke exploding gets a bit 'exciting' though

I find slag and splatter dancing fizzing and spitting inside your welding mask exciting..........

I ALWAYS wear an additional pair of metal splash goggles under my welding helmet / mask

Also when you grab the grinder I've got goggles on me...
If your roughing it, Your doing it wrong ;)

Lack of planning on your part doesn't make it an emergency on mine
