Teaching my kids knifework I'm so paranoid of cuts to the inside of legs. They're bored of me talking about their arteries but whatever it takes to get safety into their skulls.

One of the reasons why an awful lot of knife using trades traditionally wore leather aprons.... They also protect your trousers from both damage and grot.

I'm a smith so its natural for me to put mine on before doing stuff, and theres a number of times I've been grateful I did.
