Bug out property

Post by Cougar »

Beware the green eyed monster this may provoke. Wish we had this sort of space.

Easy money really.

Sell your house as a retreat, move down the road, when the SHTF stroll back knowing a prepper with money has been stocking up for you :)

Good idea indeed!

It does raise the question though, anybody who has anything which others knows about becomes a target. I imagine the better prepped you are the larger number you would need in your group in order to protect your preps.

Another evil idea I had was to open a simple website providing a free video or ebook on long term food storage (just copying somebody elses material) and then advertising the link locally in supermarkets, bus stops, fly posters or whatever.

As part of the process for people accessing the material, Id have them enter their details, including address lol.

You wouldnt catch everyone but you would get a handful of possible prepper houses nearby. Not that I'd harm anyone but its useful info should they bug out or something else cause their house to be empty.

And people wonder why forum members are reluctant to share their real identities ....

I think its important to highlight the potential dangers of giving out your info as a prepper, the two double crossing ideas posted above are probably happily already
