End of solar power, feed in tariffs !!!!!

Have to have them on new builds still though and expect this to be extended to include anytime you involve planning and a roof. Solar shuts down when grid goes off to save shocking people workingon the fault.

Solar inverters turn off when the power is off due to the unit not being able to sync with the grid therefor will stop putting out power , however your solar panels will be generating power , if you know what your are doing and are competent can get 12/24/48v from the D.C. isolator ,depending on your panel/sting array ,how it has been wired , then onto that you could put a charge controller to feed a battery bank and then inverter not grid.tied to give.you mains power 220-240 v. Even then your battery bank will if your lucky.last 3-5 years
