Canal Boat
Re: Canal Boat
we do spend a fare amount of time on the boat.its a bolt hole its been built to be secure and hinder fast entry or exit for unwelcome visitors..if you look at the steps there is a bigger gap between the 3rd and forth step amongst other subtle things lol...this idea was used in medievil castlesSlazanger wrote:@ready

Re: Canal Boat
One of my sisters lives on a canal boat, moored near Cambridge in secure marina. Fabulous way to live , so comfortable. Shes on a jaunt at the moment and back in September.

Re: Canal Boat
this is a bit of an old post- but was looking at canal boats recently.
found this website very helpful:
http://www.thefitoutpontoon.co.uk/produ ... guide.html
it includes listings from heating, furniture and kitchen appliances, to security, fire fighting and different styles of power provision.
I really enjoyed the fantasy moment of planning my Dutch barge out using this site.
many hours lost...but was fun
