1930s America- the Dust Bowl

Post by diamond lil »

Reading "The Worst Hard Time" - the inside story of of those who survived the great American dust bowl. Absolute eye-opener! The whole thing was caused by govt, every piece of advice the govt gave was completely the wrong thing to do, and everything the farmers did just made it worse. Scary and educational.

The Ken Burns 2012 two-part documentary "The Dust Bowl" is based on this book and is also very good.
