There are tons at Amazon, depends on what you are preserving and how you want to preserve it, you can now get the Ball Blue Book from Lakeland along with Ball canning jars. The best book though will be the one you have put together after trying out recipes to see if you like the result.

Here are a few from my library:

I use this book most as it covers many different methods of preserving from canning/bottling and curing to root cellaring.

Real Food Fermentation

Ball Complete Book of Home Preserving

I've heard good things about HFW's Meat Book for preserving.

Excellent that's a good start ,I'm sure no one book can cover all but I'm just looking for a couple even.
I've done some preserving only jams ,fruit ,cordials so these recomendations will be great use .

We have the Meat book by HFW, I'll have a look at it and feed back

Avoid Salt, Smoke and Silence, it's a lifestyle coffee-table book.

I have Piers Warren's book but somehow it doesn't work for me.

I hear good things about John Harrison's preserving books but I've not seen them. Maybe for Christmas.

I have Jane Grigson's Charcuterie and it's good for the history and some basic recipes.

There are loads and loads of internet resources.

A book I have referred to over many years is, 'Home Preservation Of Fruit And Vegetables' by the Agricultural Institute Of Food Research' (AFRC) and ( mine) came through HMSO Books. It has been around since 1929 and revised periodically.

I don't know of a book which contains all the recipies I think you are after, but as a suggestion why don't you make a list of the things you use for preserving, e.g. pectin, yeast, vinegar then google recipies for them - you'll find loads.

Test them, then if they work for you add them to your own personal cookbook/file.
