Tech.

Post by blue90 »

So I am reading about bushcraft, food lists etc etc, what about tech? Anyone using high tech to support their prepping? A sat nav that supports OS maps for instance? I remember road angel could load memory map back in the day but am unsure of anything current.

So, what high tech essentials are you packing, and why?

My only real tech preps are powerbanks, which I use anyway when I’m out and about, I also keep a spare phone (a low end Nokia) as a backup for emergencies.

I use apps which are a form of modern tech. While I know in a grid down/communication black out this isn't helpful, as we've said before, not all emergencies will be that.

I have a brilliant Knot app called "useful knots" I have a mushroom guide, not that I feel safe enough/knowledgeable to mushroom hunt, what3words and St John ambulance apps for safety/first aid. I am looking out for other useful, free, non advert infested apps to aid in a variety of situations.
