Matches would seem the obvious choice, but I think they are a little outdated to be honest. I have sealed boxes of ‘strike anywhere ‘ matches. We use a lot of matches, as we have the solid fuel stoves. I have noticed that those stored matches are not striking as furiously as normal. They obviously degrade. The safety matches, same age, are still good. All the cheapo lighters, bought at the same time ( 15 years ago easily) are sound.

The small round Clippers are good too, last for ages and can be refilled. The cheapy shops do them for 2 a quid, keep one in my mess set, fire kit.... a few spares kept too of course.
You can also replace the 'flint' in Clippers so they last until you lose them....
