Any hints or tips for thermal or night vision models.....and where to get them at a decent price?
A up mate. Give these a look - https://www.scottcountry.co.uk/
Good link. The range / selection of Gen 2 equipment under £2000 is quite varied these days. Under £1000 Gen 1 stuff even more so. I am trying to budget around £1500 for a (Branded?) scope with illuminator and there is a decent choice out there.
I know, fair play prices have come down. They do finance too

I bought this a year or two ago:

SOLOMARK Digital Night Vision Monocular, 3x 14 Infrared Illuminator Monocular Allows Viewing in the Dark-records Images and Video https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00THZ2NFE/ ... CCbVDQ4BMS

I KNOW it’s not proper ‘night vision’ as it relies on pumping out an infrared light that has a very obvious glow when using...

But for me, I wanted to have the edge in a situation in a dark house or scrutinising the garden should bad things be happening.

Just enough to be able to protect myself/family should that be required.
