I've got a 14W (I think) folding solar panel with 1 2nd 2 amp usb connectors and even using it phrough a power bank for consistency it doesn't have enough oomph for my tablet never mind a laptop. I think you need the bigger system but as you've probably gathered I'm not an expert.

yeah you'll need to beef it up a little, my laptop needs 200W @ 19.5V DC

I'd love to upgrade my 30w panel but my workshop is heavily overlooked from all angles so 30w it is which is more than adequate for now for lighting and charging small stuff via 12v chargers

Just had a good look at this, that's a great link, thanks mate, appreciate it. I'm looking at doing this sooner rather than later so doing my research now.
