I bought a pair of savage island side zip boots a few months ago, and now we have snow here in London (it usually melts before it hits the ground) i have had a better chance to test them. First of all the are very very comfortable and fit well. The zip is very secure and give the boots a nice snug fit and they supoort the ankles really well. My feet stayed very warm and dry. I haven't had a chance to properly field test them over the course of a weekend, but so far i can find no fault with them Also the price was excellent around £28 on amazon with free delivery. I got the brown ones but they also come in black. I think they make a nice alternative to the 5.11side zips which are a bit too pricey for me. I will give them a proper test and update this thread. If anyone here has a pair i'd love to know what you think. Heres a link to the product.
