Zebra Stainless Billy Can size 12

Post by Citizen H »

I'm considering an alternative budget cooking container (lager than the BCB Mug) and happened upon these , has anyone used them, are they any good?

the reviews on the web say that they are good value for money however the plastic clips melt / break off....... as you would expect them to ?!?!?!

Im use to 316 SS and these are made from 304 SS, again is this a bad thing?

let me have your thoughts.

Cracking bits of kit. I wouldn't worry about the plastic, all owners I know take them off anyway.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

I have one, the plastic clips are fine unless it's over an open fire, then you can just take them off, they go back on afterwards as they're fairly flexible.

Alternatively if you want to use it as a mini oven then you can either buy it with metal clips, there's a company that sells them like that, or make your own out of stiff wire, it's pretty easy, just have a look on YouTube.

The zebra pots are actually intended to be a lunchbox, it's an accident that they make a good billy can!
