You've given me some food for thought, the vest looks like a good idea. My basic plan for small time bo was to carry my cheap everyday backpack and wear a jacket that is too big for me with extra inner pockets(I cut from an old jacket and sewed inside). I am trying to look like an overweight unfit lady carrying a change of clothes and maybe my knitting and not much else so of no use bothering with (depressing how easily I can achieve this). the vest worn under the jacket would be good idea. I do have proper equipment for a serious bo, but would only use that in a group (my family) situation as I know alone I need to be as inconspicuous as poss.

We often forget that you can have good gear and still do the greyman thing.

The vest under a light jacket works. Also use a large black bin bag over your pack like a rain cover. You would be surprised how people will ignore the pack then.
I don't do politics or religion. Seen to many people die because of these.

I post to contribute so take as you see fit. My way is not the only way.

Cheers
