Reminder on my calendar just popped up to have winter tyres fitted. That came around quick.

Hear hear :) some really good practical actions listed.

I'm stuck cleaning my broken fridge freezer, so the disposal men don't refuse to take it on Tuesday :(

Speaking of which: combo of freezer drawers and safety glass shelves from the fridge gives me a couple of small cold frames - anybody got any idea of other usages for them? There are also a couple of wire shelves - I'm wondering if they could be plant supports, but I can't quite figure it out at the moment. Anybody got any ideas for what they could be used for?

The wire shelves would be useful for drying herbs? in the sunshine perhaps.

I could get big long stems of leaves that I want to dry, and start them off in the sunshine - sandwiched between the two wire shelves so they don't blow away :)

Not a use as such but if you can't find something to do with them they sell quite easily on places like ebay . My wife has sold several fridge /freezer drawers and shelves. Funnily enough i was speaking to a friend last night and he was saying his wife has just broken one of the fridge drawers by cramming too much stuff in it which i think illustrates why there is a market.

That's interesting, thanks! I might do that for the drawers, at least, if I don't end up using them the way I'm thinking.

There's a market for pretty much anything really . We've even sold a bag of plastic milk bottle tops . I suppose with the shelves and drawers it's either replace them or replace the whole thing or use it without .
