I'm on the lookout for a bijou spatula/egg flipper. I'll get there, somewhere in China is a factory churning out exactly what I'm after.
What Preps are you doing this week? Part 5.

Those IKEA toys actually sound like they're pretty good quality, but this cutlery drainer, a better size I think , is a rocket-stove-in-waiting: https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/kit ... -30131716/
I have one in my under-sink cupboard

Used to use one in my hobo set up 9 years ago.Arzosah wrote: ↑Sat Nov 03, 2018 8:51 pm Those IKEA toys actually sound like they're pretty good quality, but this cutlery drainer, a better size I think , is a rocket-stove-in-waiting: https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/kit ... -30131716/

Then I found titanium.....
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

I've got one of those Ikea things to turn into a burner, lazy git that I am, its still on the 'to do' list. Fortunately, I'm not exactly short on options for stoves.

If you are serious concentrate on the big 3
Rucksack
Sleeping Bag/ Quilt
Tent/Tarp
I've saved the most weight on those, it's not cheap though

Got to agree, unless you've got oodles of cash. I tend towards durable and cheap but I've still got a strong back. As the back weakens I can see things having to change.

A while back I read an interesting piece by a bushcrafter/lightweight backpacker about the best ways to spend the least money on dropping the most grams, all based on the pound/gram ratio (written as £/gr)...... And now I can't find it.

I have a nice little rucksack (as big as I can carry, sadly); I have a horrible "mummy" type sleeping bag, which is very good quality but very unpleasant to use; a small tent is the most likely useful item there.
