learning from shtf apocalyptic books
Recently I have been reading a lot of shtf(right now A.A.American). Must admit it has given me a lot of ideas to use in my own prepping here. Anyone think they learn anything from fiction or is it just not of any real world use
Not worried about powering the whole house, just eating hot food, getting a brew, seeing through the dark, and staying warm.

There is lots to learn from fiction as there always has to be a basis of fact or it will not be a good story. Where I work we use fictional case studies as a teaching aid.Stonecarver wrote:Recently I have been reading a lot of shtf(right now A.A.American). The key thing is often less what they tell you and more about how they make you think. So even bad stuff can make you think: "hey that's just not plausible...I think this would happen instead...now how would I cope with that...?"
