Scotland Ordanance Survey

Post by TheWolfXX »

Hey guys been a while since I've posted up but found something I think might be useful to some.

http://www.scotlandsplaces.gov.uk/ordna ... inch/angus

Although the interactive map is supposed to be covering just angus (there may be ways to alter this I haven't investigated thoroughly) and the angus part is pinked out the rest of the map is clear and immaculate ready to be print screened into paint for far cheaper printing than buying an OS map.

:)

Those are some useful links, thank you.

It might be worth looking at https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/openda ... ducts.html

Free maps supposedly on their official site, for some reason I am unable to make this work however. Nonetheless if you can make it work you have the entire country worth with tools to make some very specialist custom maps. It would be possible to print off each district yourself and laminate said sheets however this would take up more room and quite frankly would get annoying to navigate with.

Please let me know if you can make these work, I have not had any luck yet.

I didn't have any luck with it either mate but I'd get a second opinion because I'm lacking in patience with this kind of thing.

I have figured it out, my browser was blocking the captcha element. Looks to be very useful so far. The type of custom map I want to make would show targets of nuclear attacks (I should say what i believe would be targets) My plan would be to show possible radiation levels by area assuming worst case. Oddly there is a Ordnance Survey documentary on bbc 4 right now.
