Bought 3x5kg bags of sugar in Tescos for £3.20 each which works out at 64p a kilo. Bit of a faff decanting one into plastic containers and storage jars but at that price, I'll be doing it.

With so many grandchildren, my lot have been told not to buy us anything, save it for the kids, some obeyed, some didn't. Got a lovely neckwarmer and hat both with furry lining and cosy socks.. perfect. And FAR too many chocolates :roll:

congratulations, so exciting for you. Take to hovering over your rubbish and think "what can I use that for" before chucking it. yoghurt pots, marg tubs, cut down plastic bottles can be used as seed/flower pots. lots of rubbish can repurposed.
