Yes LPG fridges On mains there is a thermocouple which knocks the power / cooling off at what ever pre set temperature you set it at..... Just be aware that on LPG you WILL loose the thermostat control so some very fine twiddling will be needed of the gas valve to prevent freezing... Also a good breeze can blow out the burner... From my domestic unit uses by the book about 250g of gas a day so a 15kg bottle should last about 60 days!...

Interesting concept however the new designs have a 90 ° bend in the axcess shaft to prevent radiation comming into the shelter via the access pipe .

Castles were great 3 centuries ago , however a 360 excavator and a hammer attachment and the walls would be down . Drawbridge firebomb and wait . Strong gates large heavy truck or oxy acetyline . Your castle is just the same as a bunker but bigger and more than likely on the horizon . Good idea but...
