Re: Dehydration in Uganda
$80 I think in Uganda is quite high considering an accountant earns under $10k per year https://www.averagesalarysurvey.com/uganda Hopefully this is not a bad thing to think or say but maybe the amount of wasteage can be linked to the starvation levels in this continent? There is no or not enough in...

Re: what are the best multi vitamins to take and stock
I used to take the wellman a few years ago but made my pee lime green and smell something that was not lime. Now I am on Holland & Barrett Ultra Man and thankfully the Mrs is on the Ultra Woman (otherwise she may start beating me up!) No side effects, pee is normal. It's a strange thing to know/...

Dehydration in Uganda
Just though to share this:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-44579530
I was mainly shocked at the amount of food wasteage and cheapness of this unit.
Cheers

Running a car on firewood! Russian Style
Just came across this. Not that I'll be able to do this myself it is still interesting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NvBD3-244w I do think that if a major SHTF or whatever was to hit Russia they would be able to cope/adapt quite easily. Am starting to watch more Russian vids on various subjects o...

Re: Portable solar battery packs
One thing that seems to be missed sometimes is the re-charge time. Oodles of battery banks are out there but most do not feature the fast re-charge. The one shown in amazon states this "Note: Does not support Qualcomm Quick Charge" So I guess if you are re-charging from a solar panel charg...

Degen De13 Power Usage - Speaker or Headphones
So...I just dug out my Degen De13 radios to give the internal batteries the quarterly top up via the solar panel. A thought just occurred to me. You can either listen to the radio through the built in speaker or phono headphones. ...and here is the daft question. Will running sound through the speak...

Re: Denso tape uses?
Can anyone please shed some light on the usage of denso tape?
I can see it could be good for pipes but what about fabric? Am mainly thinking about tents, canvas or not here? eg: to repair rips and tears or how about repairing broken tent poles?
Cheers

Re: Gas mask preference
I remember my old school teacher saying during ww2 why did the soldiers have 2 lenses and the civvy only 1 lense. 1civvy lense cheaper to make. 2 army lenses, if you break 1 you can hold your hand over the broken one and keep on going. Kinda makes sense but not sure how the soldier would load and co...
