Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 8.
I did a larder tidy up yesterday and moved some stuff into another storage space. I found I had a few unopened packets of lentils and other pulses that were out of date so they are now first in line to get used up. I'll have a scour of Pinterest for some good recipes, because there is only so much d...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 8.
Just ordered my first set of FFP2 masks, sadly from Amazon - Lloyds Pharmacy website didn't want to give me the 10% discount they offered me off their own bat. Also got some steri strips, and then a little tub of Vaseline to get me over the free delivery limit (Martin Lewis has a link to a bit of s...

Re: Self Care
Forgive me if this is a daft question lil, but how do you use it and how do you avoid getting all sticky? This stuff Mouse , it is sticky so you apply it then cover with gauze then stick it on with sticking plaster: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Activon-Medical-Grade-Manuka-Honey/dp/B019H96JC2/ref=sr_1_...

Re: Self Care
I buy tubes of honey for topical use only, on amazon. Husband is famous in his huge FB group of heart bypass survivors for having the neatest scar of them all - it's invisible. And it was the honey that did it  I've used it all my life and it's faster than antibiotics. Forgive me if this i...

Re: Self Care
This is a real issue. My stepdad died of colon cancer 20 years ago. His digestive/ waste system went haywire in the run up to his death. As a family it was our joke that conversation generally leant towards toilet humour much of the time. At that terrible time,I can remember him saying,” it’s not s...

Re: Self Care
I will put my hands up and say I am poor at self-care. The whole covid-shielding omnishambles completely ruined my fitness levels and I'm finding really hard to improve them, to the point that it's also affecting my asthma. I've put a fair chunk of weight on and it's not going anywhere. I have been ...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 8.
I had my EDC challenged a little this evening. I got a call from my father's partner who was in tears saying my dad wasn't home from the pub when expected. The daft old bugger refuses to have a mobile phone, so I had to trog into the city to make sure he was still sat in the pub and not in a hospita...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 8.
Got my rear brakes done this morning. My service in August had said they would need replacing within 6 months, and I wanted them done before the worst of winter arrives. The health check afterwards suggests I need new front tires in the not too distant future. Might have to wait till after Christmas...
