Re: 2M/70CM ROLL UP J-POLE/SLIM JIM ANTENNA

 Guess I'll PM you, it would appear to be more considerate. However, as a Prepper, and I understand that is what this site is all about, radio communication is one thing that people will underestimate if the SHTF. I am a little more prepared now with the kit I now carry in terms of radio and ac...

Man that is some build. I won't pretend to understand half of what you are doing, but I certainly wish you well with it and let's hope it works.

1. Remove one of the brackets by undoing the wing nut: https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1488/24789087086_950b123bde_n.jpg 20160204_154557 by Britfan , on Flickr 2. Tilt the cooker to allow for easy access of the burner. I would probably prime the burner before putting it in the cooker: https://farm2.s...

The feet use the outer most holes already in the bottom but the bolts have supporting washers each side. A further 3 blots are placed 1 hole up to sit the burner on wit...

Re: Trangia liquid stove advice

I have a Trangia set and love it. I use Bio Ethanol rather than meths, don't know why, always have. I have been reading about people carrying spirit cookers or similar in their cars and this got me thinking, so I built one :P https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1481/24682956282_833ea2bb23_n.jpg Burner by...

Re: Generator

This thread may seem like a share holders sales pitch, but I too would vote for Honda. I have their 1KW suitcase gene and have run it for about 10 years. Never once let me down, the only thing I have ever needed, other than fuel of course, was a new pullcord. Great little machine and would not be wi...

Re: are you strong/fit enough

Fit..... Nowhere as near fit as I think I might need to be ;) . Like a lot of middle aged  preppers I know my limits. I have planned to Hunker down rather than go trekking off, however if trekking is whats needed then a few miles a day with my necessary equipment is probably achievable. I will...
