Re: How long can you sustain your family on your stored food? And tips how to rotate

As an aside but related to topic - I was rearranging my long term foods and came across some plain flour and real coffee (not instant) that expiry date was 2020. Had been stored in original packaging in plastic crates with lids in the shed at old house then indoors in new house. Neither appeared to ...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 10

Had been planning to cut and process more firewood but pulled a muscle in my back at wrestling training yesterday so lighter jobs around the house today I think. Maybe build a couple more raised beds or may just retire to the shed and Potter about, bliss 😊

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 10

First aid training for son & I, cutting & processing more firewood, setting all the mouse & rat traps around the house & outbuildings, feeling a bit sad that there's not many motorcycling days left this year. Dad's had 25 mice over the summer in his traps head lost a few traps saw o...

Re: N.H.S. views and experiences

After 6 weeks, I'm still waiting for an "urgent" cardiology appointment........... I'm not one for telling people what to do but as an "insider" I do know that the squeaky wheel gets the oil, I'd suggest phoning them up on a weekly basis and upping the frequency if no joy in bei...

I always keep water 5 litres of water in the car and just rotate it. Either drink it or top up screen wash and refill. Canned water seems an expense when it's practicably free out of the tap.

Never got the sanitiser & masks out of the car boot - have been in daily use for work since 2020 🙄
But you're right, there's no excuse not to be ready this time round.

Spent most of today with a chainsaw in the woods 😁. Also dropped off some diesel to a neighbour (we've changed cars to petrol so jerry can of diesel is surplus to requirements), got a bucket of tomatoes in return 🤔 seems a fair swap 😉

Re: Hi to all - Newbie here

Hi serendipity, we moved last year and like you would have had a lot of food stuffs to move. Partially solved the problem by eating all the canned goods and only moving the dried goods.
