Re: prepper or hoarder?
thanks guys, I think I am a hoarder, not a bad one but I could do better. I've decided that stuff I envisage using/needing is prepping and the stuff I have kept for others is hoarding! i have stuff that others in my family no longer wanted, clothes shoes etc, and I stored them away, as if sh...

Re: Bang or Whiper?
I agree with the slow descent scenario, and yes, I think we're at the start of it right now. The great tea and coffee debate  I'd love to grow them both, but I don't think either of them are quite there for our climate, sorry! Dicon - the only thing I'd suggest in addition to your post - w...

Re: Prepping on a budget

Re: On being mean with money
Being careful with money is not being mean, just having common sense. Why spend £5 on tins of soup to feed everyone when you can make more and probably better for £2 and if you can grow your own veg even less. We often have meals that cost almost nothing as I have hens for eggs and own veg. Homemade...

Re: The Ultimate Notebook- do you have one?
/like you I remember things better if I write them down. Unlike you my notes are not so well organised, I have different notebooks for different things as well as a folder of stuff i've printed off. I reckon these bits of paper will be of more use to me if there's no power or internet access. Must s...

prepper or hoarder?
It's been really cold and wet here the last few days, so I decided to do a little spring cleaning and de-cluttering. As self-sufficent living appeals to me and I make and mend things, I tend to keep old clothes etc. for craft work, but when does too much become hoarding? I've made some tough decisio...
