Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 10

Needed some OTC medication today for a minor issue. Went to the first aid box to find an empty box and no tube of medication. Went to two pharmacies near work, out of stock, supply issues apparently. Phoned two more, looked online and ordered some only to receive a message a few minutes later saying...

Re: Prepper -'lite' or full on survivalist

Prepper lite here too. I wish that that I was a little higher up the classification but we can only do what we can do. The preps we have kept us and some family members fed/stocked up and we rarely run out of anything if things are a bit tight or there's an issue with utilities. In an ideal world I ...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 10

I don't mind eating out of date food myself and will feed it to my husband  who will eat anything and if he thinks that it tastes a bit dodgy it definitely is! I am however much more careful when feeding my Dad who is 84. Anything which is more than a month out of date is a no go when I am feed...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 10

Refilled 2 of our 3 diesel Jerry cans today and glad we did as half of the pumps were empty at our local garage. We have a bit of a road trip tomorrow so the 3rd can (oldest fuel) will be emptied into the truck and then refilled later next week and the truck topped up. I get a bit twitchy if the tru...

Re: Look at the size of my marrow

Some very impressive veggies there folks, sadly I am unable to compete as it has not been the best year in our garden. I do love to see what other people manage to grow but am happy with my very wonky carrots and little onions, they still feed us :)

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 10

Just sent off the POA for my Dad and completed the donation form for Liverpool University for myself to be used for science/research. Next is our own POA's. The pickled cucumbers I made 3 weeks ago have been deemed very tasty by my friend and son in Law. Sadly I only made two jars as nobody else lik...

Re: How long can you sustain your family on your stored food? And tips how to rotate

I think that I have about 3 months worth of food in the store room in addition to the cupboards and freezers but we might have to get a bit creative further down the line with meal ideas. I had a big sort out about a month ago and did throw about 8 tins away, a couple looked to have failed and the o...
