Re: Calor Gas?

Last winters epic cock up might have been learned from, they had either a terminal or plant shut for maintenance then another one was shut due to an accident.

Re: Poundland Rechargeable Batteries

I think the quality of these must be very variable, I had some that were terrible, maybe only 450mah compared to the advertised and one failed completely on it's second charging.

Re: Woodlands??

This is all fantastic information thank you all. It’s a idea that certainly needs more thought and discussion. I’d love a wood to play in though. I suspect whipping up a 12ft fence would attract a fair bit of attention from the authorities lol 😂 Tell everybody It's to keep the deer out it'll be fin...

Re: Camo vehicles

NATO green or camo says crusty traveller to me and likely to be someone asleep inside. An internal cage and or a van vault along with additional security locks would be sensible, along with a single jump lead and a can of easy start on the dash.. I have no idea what you do for a living but unless yo...

Re: Body Fluid Spills Kits

If you do plan to have to deal with somebody who has passed sometime ago and they have voided fluids I would add some decent face masks and something that smells really really strongly, you can physically get rid of the smell relatively simply, getting rid of it from your brain is another matter :( ...

Re: Where should I go in case when SHTF

Living near Croydon and having friends who were near Reeves corner when it was burned in the last riots I would say if you have any chance get as far away as possible, the first sign of a lack of authority and the place will go to hell in a hand basket at top speed, no skills will save you when the ...

Re: Hidden retreat?

Buy land with a cave or natural depression, the amount of soil/ rock/ clay you need to excavate and get rid of is phenomenal, I very much doubt it's the sort of thing you could get away with doing without someone noticing the amount of wagons coming and going and heavy machinery being used. If you b...

Re: Car break down prepping in real life

Maybe it's just me but that fact they're so brightly lit means they dazzle me to the extent it's difficult to maintain perspective? Likewise modern brake lights that seem to be like looking straight into the sun sat at your eye level coupled with stupid indicators you can't seem because of the brake...

Re: Diy 6x6 pickup build

Zil 6x6 trucks are available and I would expect them to still be running when the cockroaches take over. Also Bedford RL/ML awd these are all probably a bit on the large side for daily use though.

Re: Diy 6x6 pickup build

I would go over to the rods'n'sods forum and research what is required to build a vehicle that will meet the requirements of the BIVA test to be registered to use on the road. Alternatively have a read of this thread: http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/36896/1953-anglia-iva-finally-arrived Which...
