Re: Watches

My everyday watch is now an Apple Watch 2, however I also use a TAG for 'special occasions'. I'll just buy ...

Re: Nuclear War Survival Skills free download pdf

Sad I know but I love reading stuff like this. On a side note, has anyone visited the Imperial War Museum North in Manchester? Their display about the Nuclear Age is good, they have the old public information video about a nuclear bomb going off and what to do on a loop. Great to watch. (Especially ...

Re: Methylated Spirits or IPA?

Reminds me of my mum. She makes a bonfire out of leaves and pours petrol on the already lit fire because she's impatient.... What could possibly go wrong?! Think our parents must be related! haha my father does the same. Would a high spirit alcohol not do the same trick, plus you have the advantage...

Re: Bugging out at night during winter

A couple of bits which I find useful for night movement. 1; If you are going off the track e.g. where there are no street lights or artificial lighting take a red filter for your torch. It reduces the visible length of your light but will enable you to keep your night vision at full strength, this w...

Re: What preps are you doing this week? Part 3.

It's amazing what you pick up on here... Thanks to Yorkshire Andy, my wife is now off to ToysRus to buy some presents and get a voucher. (down goes my bank balance) On the prepping side this week I've sorted through all my med/First Aid kits, torches and go-bags around the house swapping out some of...

Re: What I'm covering in my prep

Harry black maskers is one of the greatest creations evah !!! If the Russians came up with a ray gun that 'zapped' maskers then just about every Royal Navy vessel would fall apart. Its great for temporary repairs on loads of things, double siding it to secure things. I have a wee length (ooh ...

Re: My Preps

I have only 'tested' it at home. You are both correct that there is no leverage due to the size. However I discovered that if I combine it with the mini pliers on the multitool it gives me an extra 5 inches of leverage and that was enough to split a wooden pallet apart (with a little effort) It is o...

My Preps

Well this is my first topic I've written and I thought I would tell you a little about the preps that I have. I live just outside a major city so I've two prep avenues for me at this time. In this post I am going to talk about my EDC for when I go into the city (for work etc) Pictures below. EDC - C...

Hello everyone

Hi, I'm new to the forums, first got into prepping a while back now. For me it started as I got caught out by the weather and didn't have anything with me. Now I am getting geared up for different situations. I'm not into guns, had enough of them in the military. There are ways to defend yourself an...

Re: New member from Liverpool.

Hi Grey,

I'm also new to the forums, have always been active with prepping since leaving the military. Thought I would comment as I live on the Wirral.
