Re: Buddlea - worth growing for kindling?

Re: When you realise your dream home is in a bad location!

What deeps says. You are where you are. Preps are not just about fortresses and stockpiles, but also about neighbourhoods, contact with people, local resilience and resources, and future-proofing. Where we live is vulnerable to zombie apocalypse, but it's also great for transport, facilities, green...

Re: When you realise your dream home is in a bad location!

Depends entirely upon what you think the future holds doom and gloom wise. Then ask yourself if the world isn't going to go to pot overnight and that A road won't be full of ravenous angry hoards would moving to a remote country home be viable with regards to income , schools and access to services.

Re: Suggest an EDC watch

Thanks all , I must admit my question was a tad tongue in cheek really . I use clocks and do even own pocket watches and wrist watches it's just that I don't wear them after seeing an accident with a gin wheel and rope . The last watch I brought was a Chinese jobbie with a picture of Mao waving his ...

Re: Suggest an EDC watch

Interesting reading and I can't comment on any ones recommendations good or bad but I do have a question. I haven't worn a watch for probably thirty years or more now , working on building sites they would get scratched or snagged and the strap would break so i just stopped wearing one. Am I breakin...

Re: Suggest an EDC Pen

Don't you have to keep at least one black pen though decaff as I'm pretty sure some offical type forms say to write only in black ? Screw fix tend to provide most of my pencils . I'm in and out quite often and always pick some up. Not the greatest quality and wood coloured so very easy to lose among...

Re: Longevity of coffee?

I'd hazard a guess that it's a best before date althought here's a chance any fat (if any?) in the milk powder may deteriorate and go rancid . I've tried years old powdered tea ( don't drink coffee myself) and find that there can be a tendency for the powder not to mix in the water properly which ag...

Re: Pound coin being replaced in 2017

.....no pension provision, no savings... :? Wouldn't swap lifestyles anytime soon with them! Neither would I . That said , I sort of understand those that live life for the moment. We only have one life and I can understand those who prefer to enjoy it rather than spend their lives worrying , skimp...

Often better to not buy just yet unless you're absolutely desperate as they often drop the prices after the promotion to clear.
