Wew use a mix of UV5Rs and UV8s in 5 and 8 watt reprogrammed using CHIRP freeware to only operatate on PMR channcels Digi and analogue, we fitted em with long folding extension antenna to maximise range.

I've made one out of a large plastic tub and lid that I have fitted with two spare UV lights I had for my Aquarium, not put it into use though because so little mail arriving.

As far as I understand it proving the elastic straps, mouth seals and exhaust valves are not perished or decayed they should be fine. I wondered if that was mostly what expiry of "generalist" type masks was about, thanks for that. Thats how industrial masks were treated when I worked in t...
