I don't mean things like local schools, recreational activities etc. as although I know these things are important and will have bearing on decision making...

We're looking to move in the near future and I've seen a patch of land (few acres) that, if I sold my current home, I could probably afford to buy. Decant stuff from bigger vessels for easy carrying? My first thought here is to decant coconut oil from a bigger jar that's kept in the kitchen cupboard for cooking, as I use a similar small pot to carry coconut oil around for it's myriad of uses.

Thanks Nick, it looks like you can make a number of different things using chickpea water (it's not just for thinning your hummus!), I'm going to try out some recipes .

My husband is works in an independent food shop. He told me that some items would last for much, much longer than their use by dates, and in fact would last much longer than the material they are packed in. So for some items, the use by date is actually related to the time the packaging would degrad...
