Re: 25 uses for a space blanket

It was the lures that attracted me( ha ha).I do a LOT of pike fishing, and I often add mackerel feathers or artificial squid to my spoons and spinners.Summers coming and the mylar could be good for surface lures too.Explosive sport!

Re: The Tax Man Cometh !

Look on it as a gift Jansman - manage without that 40 quid and when the sods kindly deign to give you back yer own money - stash it under the mattress for retirement. Bang on! :D The quote ( paraphrased I must add) is from 'On Next To Nothing' by Thomas and Susan Hinde.Printed in 1977 if ...

Re: The Tax Man Cometh !

In fairness this issue won't cause a total blowout in The Tyre Of Life, more like a slow puncture! But it highlights ( as the rest of you have said) how life can deal a blow when least expected. Re: The Tax Man Cometh !

Glad I am not unique. Its not the first time. When the kids were young and The Duchess was a full time Mum it got to payday and I had ZERO wages. The boss had a letter from the Revenue stating that due to underpayments( his fault) in the previous tax year,it had to be settled ASAP.I lost 50% wages the ...

Re: The Tax Man Cometh !

Funny how when it's your fault they take the money immediately, but when it's theirs it takes months to return.... I'd send them an accountant's bill for damages....   When it irons out,I might find an excuse to do just that! Stress? Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? Or pla...

Now,I only wis...
