Re: Allotments, where to start ?

I'd second Charles Dowding he has TONS of videos available on YouTube - sounds like you have time to evaluate the various methods available. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCB1J6siDdmhwah7q0O2WJBg I've started transitioning to no-dig, have nearly all the plot down to it now, the labour and water s...

Re: What are you growing / starting off ?

Also, if you find yourself with too many, give them to neighbours, it's a great way to get conversations going.

Re: What preps are you going to do after Coruna?

I can tell you that locals are quite hostile to you when you are a ‘weekender’. Now I am older and wiser?I understand their dislike. And right now, why would a Norfolk village , for instance, want incomers from that petri- dish we call London? Yes I never understood why anyone would think driving h...

Re: Exercising at Home

Sworkit app is good - has a range of bodyweight exercises from Beginners to Strength, Yoga, over-50s, injury recovery etc. Costs about £70 but well worth it in my opinion. I am sure there are other circuit training apps online, and there seems to be lots of youtube vids too. Our local group is doin...

Re: Paracord Bracelets

Deeps - very much ditto. Grey man rules... if you scream "tacticool" you'll be the first man Mr Plod will look at, and then you'll be in a world of hurt (unless of course you are entirely within UK knife laws). I tend to have enough stuff on my person (a home made version of a Wazoo Cache...

Re: Paracord Bracelets

The only real use of paracord bracelets is to let preppers identify each other in public without saying anything. I thought the unsaid sign of a prepper is large trolleys of toilet roll...........................   No mate, that's a sign of a non-prepper. We've prepped. Have had no ...

Re: So what have we learnt?

I was not trying to be ridiculous. I raised a serious question. But ok. I'll drop it. Please do. Any further derogatory comments referring to 'sheeple', 'the great unwashed' and the like will be met with a ban. Play nice, or don't play. Thank you. There are going to be great demands on our civility...

Re: Canal EGRESS

Didn't one of the "Hunted" winners get out along the tow-paths at the start? They are a useful link but if you're on a towpath your options can be limited to forwards or backwards, if you're on a boat you're slow.
