Re: clear plastic sheets
Basically you'll find polycarbonate, a mainly crystalline material, this is defined by the highly ordered structure of it's molecules. As said, high impact BUT to a point...at which it will shatter. It's processing temps are very high and it's 'weighty'. This said, not 100% crystalline because this...

Re: Two way radio batterys
sticking to the OP, Tthose radios will only listen for a whole day, you will not be able to broadcast for a whole day with them. Personally i suggest the baogeng 888 as a simpler radio To increase battery life is a simple, buy a spare battery, you can buy larger batteries for the uv5r and you can al...

Re: A GSM alarm system for a shed, suggestions
That's cheap stuff. I take back my reference to using an Arduino; whilst it's eminently possible it would be significantly more expensive, somewhere around £50-£100. And you'd have to build/code it (not difficult, but a bit fiddly) i am not an Arduino twiddler so i wont go down that route, i wanted...

security hardening a metal garage door
I like a lot of people have a metal up and over garage door. These are very easy to break through. 1, aim for the single lock pin or the side lock pins 2, break the spine of the door by lifting the unsecured bottom half against the top half thats locked 3, reverse a car into it 4, do a Michael Cane ...

Re: A GSM alarm system for a shed, suggestions
first up the super cheap £15 job, that might or most probabley might not work. but it is an option https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5863-1pcs-Infrared-Sensor-Anti-theft-Motion-Detector-GSM-Alarm-Monitor-Wireless/113534913518 it seems too cheap and a tad naff but fair play it might just do the job, i dont ...
