Re: Diy 6x6 pickup build
What are your thoughts if you could build anything your imagination lets you? also leaning more towards petrol as fuel... I suppose if I could let my imagination run then I'd like either a fully tracked or half track type of truck. However , leaving my fantasies aside and returning to reality then ...

Re: Running a car on firewood! Russian Style
It's made me do a google and to be honest I didn't find a definite answer as such . Plenty of comments and one that came up a couple of times is that such a vehicle would more than likely be uninsurable and as such wouldn't be legal on our roads . Very common during the war , https://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?f=132&t=162087 somewhere in that thread I'm sure there's some pictures of tanks used for training with wood gas generators . As to trying to run one at the moment I would think that while the practicalities are simple enoug...

Re: BBC News link - 10,000 sq ft bunker
. If i remember correctly he used school buses as they have to withstand a rollover crash without the roof collapsing. Didn't know that but makes sense I guess. Adds something else to the equation I'm unqualified to calculate :D Peejay does make a good point , they might be rusty , damp , cold and ...

Re: BBC News link - 10,000 sq ft bunker
I remember seeing it too and I always wondered what the difference is between burying a bus and burying a shipping container , neither seem designed to bear much weight on their roofs. That aside I couldn't really see how he had sealed one bus to another with any degree of efffectiveness. Not an en...
