Re: Training your pets to be assets
We have a border collie, I’d love to train her to be useful. She’s very intelligent and picks things up quickly. She’s very loving and affectionate to everyone so not an attack dog. She does bark like hell when anyone comes in our garden though, then when you open the door she sits at their feet wag...

Re: Hey from fife Scotland!
Thanks for the welcome folks, looking at tryouts my to figure out a low maintenance vegetable patch to start with, maybe some strawberries too. Realistically that’s going to be a project kicking off next spring as it’s likely we will be buying another house and moving before then. Also interested in...

Re: Living in a van or off a small plot.
Just off the top of my head I would think your best bet might be to buy some land to farm and put a larger touring caravan on it. It’s not a permanent address so you won’t need planning permission etc. Exactly where you stand legally doing that I don’t know. Given the amount of travellers sites arou...

Re: Pre Made bug out bags ?
I have a combined bob/ghb in the boot of my car. It’s more as a ghb or get home bag. Say for whatever reason, let’s say an EMP event rendered my car useless and I was stuck miles from home. I could walk it with the contents of this bag, even if it took me a few days. That’s a good starting point. Im...

Re: So You want to Bury a shipping Container?
We want to do this when we buy our next house. The new neighbors will surely think this to be a great first impression.

Re: Bolt cutters or?
I have a set of bolt cutters. I don’t keep them in my ghb/bob in the boot of my car in case I get stopped by the police and searched but if I was bugging out for real, I’d definitely be taking them.

Re: Hey from fife Scotland!
Home defence in a post society breakdown scenario. If you have stuff, unprepared people are going to want to take it from you. No point saving up supplies over years to have someone come take it all off you 7 days after SHTF. Point taken though. Looks like a good site. Think I will be on here to stay.

Hey guys, I’m brand new to the forum as of today, but not new to prepping! Look forward to speaking with you. I just posted my “hi, I’m new here” kinda post then scrolled down and saw this!

Hey from fife Scotland!
Hey folks, been prepping for a couple of years. Got bob/ghb for each me and my fiancé in the boot of the car. In the house we have a couple of crossbows, swords, axes, knifes, tools, a couple of months food and water. Next steps for us are setting up sustainability for worse case scenario, after SHT...
