Re: Health. Self help.

That’s amazing! Coming from a scientific background I must confess to a long history of healthy skepticism of some alternative therapies but haven’t had any experience of acupuncture myself but I’m quite happy to read more about it and listen to people’s experiences. Keeping an open mind.

Re: Health. Self help.

Several years ago I studied a Herbal Medicine course in Bristol. The guy who ran it manages an apothecary there, he’s an absolute genius and I loved the course. Trying to grow a bit of a herbal garden too. I’m really glad that plenty of folk still make herbal remedies. Love the legend of The Four Th...

Re: Indefensible Food Wealth !

Someone I used to work with used to keep breeding rabbits in a big shed and dispatched, skinned them and prepared their pelts. Made quite a tidy sum by all accounts.

Re: Got a solar generator

I’m really interested in getting more solar powered gear. We have a gas cooker and fire so those are ok but as for lighting and general power one of those generators would be ideal! Thank you for sharing!

Brilliant going, Woman of the Woods! Really good idea to have a pet First Aid kit. I’ve been looking at doing a cat first aid course in case my kitty gets injured. Done courses and refreshers with Red Cross and St. John’s Ambulance over the years, absolutely recommended.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 9

GeeGee and Lil, I’m so sorry to hear of your circumstances it’s nothing short of brutal and shocking. I agree with a herbal medicine/ nutrition approach to support the body’s healing, immune response and normal cell division. Each to their own. Keep strong.

Re: Some lessons from Covid

You never get rid of chickenpox, the virus goes dormant and “sleeps” on nerves. It can “awake” years later, maybe if you’re run down, so you don’t get it twice/three times, per see it’s the original infection that has re-activated.
