Re: Brexit in October?

Another point on the Tesco stock issue. Mrs A informs me that they have closed down their butchers department completely and now only sell pre-packed cuts of meat. (Didn't even notice it myself, shows how little I go inside.) Its a big store too not a little local one, I wonder if this is happening...

The OH has just reminded me that she uses demerara sugar for her crumbles. It's going straight on the list for our next visit to Lidl!

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 6.

Thank you all for your kind words in welcoming me back to the fold; it's much appreciated. I always make sure there are a couple of bags of sugar in store. Why I'm not sure; in the normal course of events it's hardly ever used and months later I'll find its turned into a solid "brick" at t...

Re: Brexit in October?

It’s difficult to get an appointment with the doctor ( two week lead time here!) That’s not down to Brexit, so I would say neither is the HRT issue. Whatever goes wrong anywhere in the country during the next few months; sorry, amend that to the next few years , it will be "because of Brexit!&...

Long time no see! Hope your now on the mend ! Like the bars of chocolate will last in the house:D I'm definitely getting there thank you. Some of the side effects of both radio therapy and hormone treatment can last for a long time after treatment has ended but they're more of an inconvenience than...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 6.

I need to tighten up spending on food. When you're ill and tired you stop caring, and get careless and lazy. And that's where I am now. Bugger  Hi lil, I can genuinely empathize with how you must be feeling at present. Eighteen months ago I went through treatment for cancer. I really couldn't...

Re: Torch

My EDC torch is just a cheap thing from Tesco costing less than £10.
For more serious occasions (like calling the cat in at night :) ) I have a FENIX LD50 which I find excellent. 1800 lumins and a beam as bright as a car headlight.

Re: Brexit in October?

You say jansman that you're "beyond caring now." That is what I hear from absolutely everyone now if the subject of Brexit gets mentioned. Everyone is completely sick of hearing about it. They say I don't really care any more whether we stay in or leave, I just want a decision taken so we ...

Re: Prepper Land For Sale

Thank you for that Offgrid. I'm sure you will get plenty of interest in it; hopefully genuine interest and not just time wasters. I've been looking for a small, hopefully isolated, area of woodland for a while now but yours is unfortunately too far away from me to be a feasible proposition. (I'm in ...
