Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 10

Was chatting to a local farmer last night - he has a fallen sycamore and alder tree he needs cleared. Leapt on the opportunity, that's this weekends job for me & my son. The sycamores good, the alder less so but free wood's free wood :D

Re: Being hounded to get a smart meter

We moved a year ago and our new supplier (British gas) stipulated that it was a requirement of the move. Reluctantly agreed, when he had moved in they emailed to arrange a date to a smart meter, I replied saying I'd changed my mind and I haven't heard anything since (in a year). I think this just me...

Re: Anyone hunting or fishing these days?

There's a lot of stocked trout fisheries here too but that's not really for me. I like the roaming about and pottering on river banks.

Re: Anyone hunting or fishing these days?

Yup, fly fishing for trout & salmon on the Don in aberdeenshire. Fly fishing up here is the common man's fishing, not like the exclusive chalk streams in southern England.

Re: Survival truck ...

Honda jazz driver here. Very grey man. Only downside is that it's natural habitat (garden centres) probably won't survive the apocalypse.

Private water supply pressure was a bit low so just wandered down the road to give it a boost from the borehole and neighbour gave me some tomato, kale, cabbage and sprout plants so they're going in this afternoon 😀
