Did you wait long enough before harvesting? You need to wait until a week or so after a frost hits them, this then causes the tuber to draw down the carbs in the stalks, and the tubers swell. I am looking for any advice or tips on New Zealand Yams. If it's rented I would check with the landlord/lease to make sure you have permission to use the loft as the lease I used (as a letting agent) stated no access or use of the loft. Also be aware it maybe a communal area that the landlord doesn't own separately and only to be used for repairs of the ...

Haven't found any canisters that didn't work.

Also, empty canisters can be refilled from Campingaz CP250 Resealable Gas Cartridges (or similar), using a pocket size adaptor
