Re: Long-Term Food
We don't have masses of it here, but there's a website called preppershop or something similar and evaq8 that sell mountain house and the like in big cans, and also there's a german site called conservative.de that sell a lot of long term storage canned food, including bread, shipping is expensive th...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.
I'm drying some more veg, got a couple of bags of carrots on the go. Have discovered that the trays from my old dehydrator also fit the new one, which is nice, so now I have ten trays, I can't imagine that if I stack ten up it'll dry very efficiently but I reckon I could probably get away with seven...

Re: Antihistamine alternatives
My mrs suffers very badly with hayfever, I get it too, but only from the tree pollen so it doesn't last that long. She has a spoonful of local honey every morning, that means she only has to take 1 antihistamine rather than multiple ones, can't be 100% sure it does anything as we haven't done a doub...

Re: Exercising at Home
I don't need an instructional video for circuit training, I remember it very well, if I recall it went something like this:
Press ups,
Burpees.
Sit ups,
Kettle bell,
Chin ups,
Puke,
Then repeat until you wake up in an ambulance.

Urine will deter foxes, only men's urine though, sets off their territorial warnings, can't imagine rats will care though.

Re: Home Security Upgrades
I may have just done some moving around of things in lockable metal cabinets.
My alarm and CCTV deters most scallies, my locks and spiky shrubs the rest, but it doesn't hurt to have a plan C.

Re: Disposal of waste....
Find your nearest student HMO, dump your rubbish in their front garden, they won't notice the difference if the ones near here are anything to go by. Being sensible, burning it is probably the only viable option otherwise it will attract animals, then burying the leftovers, could only keep that goin...

Re: Will there be food shortages in the UK?
Just got back from aldi, entire super six range was there, lots of fresh veg gone but some stuff there. They had some pasta, most of the tins gone apart from red kidney beans and sweetcorn, and weirdly all the tinned fish was full. Most fresh meat gone Soap gone, loo roll gone, eggs gone. And most d...

Re: Oxfordshire prepper
Welcome to the forum. Pretty much the same reason I started prepping, I was once so broke that I had to give the cat my dinner and go hungry, I'm pretty comfortable now but I'll never forget that and I don't plan to go through it again if I don't have to, especially since I now have four cats and th...

Re: Will there be food shortages in the UK?
Just been in lidl and asda, asda was hilarious, one bloke had a trolley (a small one) and all he had in it was cup-a-soup. Good luck when your kidneys fail because of all the salt! Lidl was hilarious for a different reason, they had put limits on pasta and the security guard was confiscating baskets...
