Re: Will there be food shortages in the UK?

NIDO comes highly recommended. It's available on Amazon (for now, Amazon in the US has announced the following): NEW YORK (Reuters) - Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O) is suspending sellers from sending non-essential products to its U.S. and U.K. warehouses until April 5 in the latest move to free up invento...

Re: 2020 Potential Economic Collapse

These numbers are staggering and help put the current situation into perspective; Cost of entire 2008 bank bailout was $500 billion . Current FED bailout / bank liquidity funding is $50 to $150 billion EVERYDAY . The FED promised a $1.5 Trillion injection last Friday alone to cover the weekend. Tha...

Re: Will there be food shortages in the UK?

Any recommendations for dec...

Re: Coronavirus panic: Why are people buying just pasta?

I might have been very immature earlier and proclaim loudly to a little old lady who was behind me who was shaking her head at the woman loading the conveyor with pasta in bulk .... "I wouldn't be buying it... It's made in Italy where they have the Corona virus really bad" with a wink, I ...

No such thing! I think I had about 50 kilos at my last count (about six months ago). Can't resist a 10kg bag of basmati for a tenner! I much prefer it to pasta.

Re: 2020 Potential Economic Collapse

The markets don't like uncertainty. In this country in particular we've had a lot of uncertainty in the last 3 years. Not "we're all doomed" uncertainty, just that it's been difficult to try to predict in which direction events are going to turn and when they will do it. Certainly this vir...

Re: Pets Food

Having been stocking up on my cat's medicines and his special kidney food for a few months now. His is Hill's Prescription food which is an American company. Probably won't have quite the same problems as a German company, but I'm guessing pet food and pet pills will be at the bottom of the urgent l...

Re: Green tomatoes

My parents always made chutney with them. In fact, I used to think that chutney was only made of green tomatoes as I didn't know any other sort! With age has come delicious understanding :D
