Swedish Army Meths Burner SVEA NC65

Hello all, Am looking for a bit of advice as my googling skills are obviously getting rusty. I just acquired a Swedish Army NC65 meths burner/cooker. Am now looking to get simmering ring/lid for it as well. Am seeing lots of info for the trangia 25 and 27 models. So am hoping that a simmering lid fr...

Re: sweating while hiking

Being very honest here I can and do get a bit sweaty between the meat/2 veg and leg area. Been using this type of stuff for a long time now and very good https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ice-Guard-Natural-Crystal-Deodorant/dp/B001EU993Y (not bought this exact brand myself - just an eg) Can be called Crystal...

Re: Any Preppers in London?

When I first started prepping I did go for all the camo stuff as I thought, well that is what the army uses so good enough for me, then I soon realised you can stick out like a sore thumb even in the country side. Tend to go for olive green now or black. I know what you mean though about having a do...

Re: Any Preppers in London?

I've been living in London for the last 15 years or so after moving from a small town in North England. Settled in very quickly and even when I first arrived I did not take too much notice of the sirens and number of emergency vehicles zooming about. First thing that made me have open my eyes wide w...

Re: Usage for Hip Flask?

Ahh...now then.... oil may be a good idea. For cooking, knife sharpening and such. I think meths eat through stainless steel?....correct me if I am wrong. As for bio fuel cannot say. What about the white fuel gel stuff for a bbq you can get from homebase/wilko? Of course I still think keeping some m...

Usage for Hip Flask?

I just rediscovered a 5oz stainless steel hip flask I bought a long time ago from Tiger. Made from stainless steel and the only plastic part is the bracket to hold the screw lid to the main body. I filled this up about 8 years ago with some cheap brandy and let it be until now. Not being a big dark ...

Freeze or Dried Food Pouches/Tubs

Hey all, Have been looking into this over that few days and finding a supplier that doesn't require you to remortgage your home in the UK is not easy if you want to get these in any quantity. Been looking at MH and others but found this and at the moment think this is not a bad buy? Plus wanted to s...
